DEFINTIONS
For Reports #1-3
RAINFALL
Question 1 of each report is the daily rainfall measured in your own rain gauge.
For rainfall, please use mm when recording rainfall. In the report, we will be showing rainfall in millimeters. One inch = 25.4 mm.
In the case of snow, please indicate the depth of the fresh snowfall in cm. We will calculate the water equivalent for your report. Rough equivalent: 1 cm snow = 1 mm water.
If your rain gauge or base needs replacing, please let us know and one will be mailed out to you.
