An event co-hosted by Affinity Credit Union & the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture. The evening will feature presentations by both the Affinity Credit Union and the Ministry. Topics will range from the basic fundamentals of a written Farm Succession Plan. Goal setting and who should be involved in the process. Other items of discussion will include details about the tools/methods that are available to producers to address transition of ownership and management. Speakers will also talk about taxation, financial analysis for both the retirees and the successors and contingencies to back up the plan.

The focus for this event is soybean agronomy, solar radiation powered irrigation pivots, potato and canola variety trials. Included will be variety trials for cereals, oilseeds, pulse and forage crops as well as corn and vegetable trials. The tour will feature variable rate irrigation technology and demonstration of drainage tile installation. The morning tour begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by lunch at noon. The afternoon tours begin at 1:30.
