Below is a list of a number of assistance programs available to Saskatchewan livestock producers.

Saskatchewan Agriculture and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada have signed an agreement allowing the Livestock Loan Guarantee (LLG) program to administer the interest-only portion of the Advance Payments Program (APP) in Saskatchewan.

The "Feed Grain and Forage Listing Service" is available without cost to the user.

The Saskatchewan Pastures Program (SPP) offers supplemental grazing on an equitable basis to Saskatchewan livestock producers.

On December 19, 2007 Ministers of Agriculture from federal, provincial and territorial governments announced the first stage in a national action plan to help with the serious pressures faced by Canada's cattle and hog producers.

The Greencover Canada program is a five-year, $110-million Government of Canada initiative to help improve your grassland-management practices, protect water quality, reduce greenhouse-gas emissions, and enhance biodiversity and wildlife habitat.

The Government of Canada has deferred collection of interest on overpayments under the Canadian Agricultural Income Stabilization (CAIS) program until December 31, 2008, which will benefit approximately 8,200 farmers who still have to repay CAIS funds.
