Ministry Mandate:

The Ministry fosters a commercially viable self-sufficient and sustainable agriculture and food sector. The Ministry encourages farmers, ranchers and communities to develop higher value-added production and processing and promotes sustainable economic development in rural Saskatchewan through better risk management.

The 2011-12 Annual Report presents the Ministry's activities and results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2012.  The Ministry's annual report, as required by legislation, is tabled by the Minister responsible within 120 days of the close of the fiscal year.

The Ministry Plan for 2013-14 demonstrates how the Ministry aligns with government's vision and goals and presents a high level framework for the Ministry's activities in 2012-13. Contained in this plan are the strategies and actions that will be pursued in the upcoming year, measures to gauge progress and a financial summary. The plan was publicly released with the 2013-14 Budget on March 19, 2013.
